Currently, no Chinese university student is exempted from the PMDC exam. All students who qualify from China must appear for the PMDC exam to obtain a license to practice as a doctor in Pakistan. Students can receive a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from PMDC before joining a university in China. A minimum of 60% marks in F.Sc (pre-medical) is required to appear for the PMDC exam. Universities may accept students with 50% marks, but such students will not be allowed to sit for the PMDC exam. Students with less than 60% can reappear in the F.Sc exam in Pakistan to improve their results.
